News

Great news! Rosehall Primary School Parent Council have been successful in their Tesco Stronger Starts scheme.

The project will fund The Healthy Snack Shop which will be run by the pupils and open every morning at break time providing fruit, vegetables, and snacks.  Using their own currency, the pupils will learn about using money and budgeting as well as healthy eating and wellbeing. They are incredibly motivated and excited by the project and can’t wait to get started.

Tesco Stronger Starts fund gives community projects awards of up to £1,500 to local community projects, with a particular focus on children and young people.

Outdoor Learning

The school plan to improve their outdoor learning space this term, with the Poly tunnel Project underway, clearing the vegetable area and creating play zones in the school garden and playing field. During outdoor learning the children have created a firepit, with storytelling area and an area to shelter when it rains, using an awning and environmentally friendly ropes (this also doubles as a fabulous den!)

EURO QUIZ 2022

Rosehall Primary won the regional round of the Euro Quiz in 2022 and took part in the final in Edinburgh on June 13th. The whole school travelled to Edinburgh; a 6.30am start, minibus to Inverness, a train journey and a brisk walk to Parliament. The team of four took their places in the debating chamber, whilst the other pupils had a school trip to Dynamic Earth. The questions were challenging but the team’s hard work paid off as they came 13th out of 30th. They celebrated their big day out with a meal in a pizza restaurant before the long bus journey home.
